Privacy

Last updated 10 August 2026

petioles records something sensitive — how much cannabis you use — against an account. This page says plainly what is kept, where it lives, and how to remove it.

What is stored

Two things, and nothing else:

There are no ads, no analytics, no third-party trackers, and no advertising identifiers. Your data is never sold and never shared.

Where it lives

On a Supabase-hosted Postgres database. Access is enforced at the database level: every query is checked against your account, so no other signed-in user can read or change your row. A copy is also kept in your browser's local storage so the app keeps working offline and can retry a save that failed.

Why an account at all

Browsers clear their storage — Safari does so after roughly a week of not visiting a site. The protocol runs for six days. Storing your reset against an account is what stops a cleared browser, a lost phone, or installing the app to your home screen from erasing days of abstinence you cannot get back.

Deleting your data

Open Account → Delete my data in the app. That erases your setup, your break, every session you logged and your ceiling, immediately and permanently.

One honest limitation: that removes your reset, but a minimal login record — your email and the fact the account exists — remains in the authentication system, which cannot be deleted from inside the app. To have that erased too, email the address below and it will be removed.

Google sign-in

Signing in uses Google OAuth. petioles receives your email address and a user identifier. It does not receive your Google password, and it cannot read your Gmail, contacts, files, or anything else in your Google account.

This is not medical advice

petioles is for adults 18 or over, in places where cannabis is legal. It is a structured way to take less, not medical advice or treatment. If cannabis is part of a treatment plan, talk to whoever prescribes it before changing your dose.
